The purpose of this meeting was to solicit feedback from attendees and PBPA members regarding how the PBPA as an organization can improve the business community and how it benefits its members.

SEPTA, working with a group of stakeholders, has selected the Darby Road
extension alternative as the preferred site for the proposed Paoli Intermodal
Transportation Center.

“We considered all of the options and opinions presented,” SEPTA Assistant
General Manager of Engineering Maintenance and Construction Robert Lund said.
“It was important for us to hear what the community wanted.”

Santa arrived by police escort on one of Paoli Fire Company’s fire trucks. He was greeted by excited children eager to share their gift wish list and The Hickory Brass Quartet playing popular holiday carols. Cardinal Photo captured some funny moments with Santa and the kids and Center on Central kept the kids busy in the toy center with crafts and face painting.

This fun event raised $208 for the Chester County Food Bank.

Tredyffrin Township has opened a new website, PaoliOnTheMove.org. It details the progress on road improvements and information about the train station project.

As their site proclaims, “Paoli On The MOVE! is the place to visit for the latest news about project updates, upcoming meetings, project history and project timelines so you can be informed and involved in the planned improvements.”

On June 25, 2012, a press conference was held in the Paoli Village Shoppes parking lot announcing the official start of the Paoli Transportation Center project. Attending were Tredyffrin and Willistown Township officials, township supervisors, our congressman and representative, representatives from Septa and Amtrak, and representatives from all of the developers and consulting firms to which contracts were awarded.
